A one-person studio, for now.
By room 414 in IPMB, Academia Sinica, where we were a partner of the International Rice Genome Sequencing Project. With the publication of the rice genome, it announced the post-genomic era of a crop has been here, and many researchers realized the demand for bioinformatics techniques. However, genomics and bioinformatics, both are based on several kinds of basic knowledge. The learning curve of bioinformatics tools could be bumpy and takes time. The standard operating procedure cannot deliver a right or direct answer. For improving this situation, the Four-One-Four studio was established in later 2019. The studio takes helping cooperator’s problems in genomics or bio information as the priority.
Considering genomics, sequencing technology, and bioinformatics have a kind of relationship of co-evolution, they are evolving. Four-One-Four studio stands on the angle of bioinformatic technique provider, would catch up the edge of them. For any newer technique, I would love to learn with my cooperator and solute the problem.
It is assembled with 4, 1, and 4. It also reflects the projection of DNA’s double helix to the 2D plane. I thought about a couple of ideas mixing with an extra helix object, but it seems redundant. The characters turn clockwise or counterclockwise for 45 degrees to let the line fully overlap. The colors are the flag color of blue, white, and red.
